Table of Contents
ToggleAs your work scales, so does the amount of content you work on. Staying organized across a variety of content which are at different phases in their development can be challenging. At zipBoard, we aim to help you stay organized, whether you’re working with 5 or 500 pieces of content at any given time.
The new Kanban UI makes it easier than ever to get a full picture of what’s happening with your content. With the ability to see workflows in action, view statuses, and filter your content, you can quickly find what you are looking for and keep things organized. And did we mention you’re getting a new content manager, just like the task manager?
In a hurry? Here’s a short clip providing you with the gist of it.
So, What’s New?
Let’s check out the 4 key updates.
Kanban boards are a great way to organize items into different phases. So, we’re excited to bring the Kanban view to manage the content. Now you will notice that this is the default view for content, instead of the grid view. The table view still exists and you can toggle between the two. This is a similar interface you’ve been using in tasks.
Easy to use and intuitive, our new Kanban update will help you organize content better. With this update, you no longer have to deal with stagnant cards that cannot be reorganized quickly! With every upload having its content card, you can easily drag and drop based on your project’s workflow. The status, due date and assignee info are shown in the content cards while you’re in the Kanban view.
We’ve added phase columns to organize your content workflow. These columns allow you to visualize the content in different phases.
Along with the Kanban board, you can now add additional information about each content in our new content manager. Similar to the task manager you’ve been using, you will notice that there are multiple fields you can fill in. This new content manager will ensure that you have a holistic experience managing content with each content now having its development phase, status, due date, assignee, description, and so on. You get the gist!
There are four statuses for content:

And you can also assign each content to multiple collaborators. Something you can’t even do in the task manager!
To create a more complete online proofing tool, we’ve provided the ability to seamlessly add phases to content. This can now be done through the content manager or the Kanban board. In the Kanban board, simply select the piece of content then drag and drop it to the phase of your choice.
You can also add content directly to each phase, in the Kanban board. You will see a “Add new File/URL” option at the bottom of each phase.

Another thing you will notice is that the phase columns can be moved around in the Kanban view. Like, “completion” before “development” etc. This will help you sort your content development phase as you see fit, helping you better visualize your internal team workflow. This will however not affect the content.
We’ve redesigned the menu layout on the left side for your projects. Now, the content will be up on top and we’ve updated it into two easy categories:

In our continuous strive to make zipBoard a better review and approval tool, we periodically release new features. Just like our recent update on creating customized task statuses, this update will help you deliver better content with a more complete online proofing tool.
